No. That's not what I said. I said you don't *have* to. If you are conservative in your computer usage and you follow the first four rules you'll likely never encounter a situation where you'd be able to say, "I should have been running my antivirus program". On the other hand, if you are uncomfortable operating without an antivirus, by all means - use one!
