July 22, 2014

Nine persons were arrested at the entrance to Homrich, a demolition contractor working on a $5.6 million deal to perform the water shutoffs on residents.

A LRAD (Long Range Acoustic Device) was used to disperse a rally at Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 2:43pm. There has been previous use of an LRAD in Detroit on May 1, 2012 when Occupy Detroit gathered on the public sidewalk outside Grand Circus Park after park closing hours of 10pm. The use in 2012 was as a public address. The use in 2014 was to cause distress to those hearing the sound. You can hear the sound emitted in the video footage at 50 minutes into this clip (the final minute of the clip). Those who were on the platform to speak felt vibration throughout their body and some clutched at their chest during the deployment which last about 2 minutes.

Mom Leaves Daughter in Car, Daughter Survives, Mom Dies in Bank Robbery
July 21, 2014

During a terrifying bank robbery in Stockton, California, last week, three robbers entered the Bank of West Branch with handguns and an AK-47. They took three women hostage and sped off.

Two of the women survived after being flung from or jumping out of the moving SUV. The third, Misty Holt-Singh, a 41-year-old mom, was used as a human shield. She died. There is no good side to this story, but there is one thing to note: Holt-Singh had been running this errand with her 12-year-old and allowed the girl to wait in the car. In other words, she did exactly what so many public service announcements-and busybodies and cops-tell parents not to do. She left her daughter unsupervised in a car.

"If you flip people off again, you will be arrested."

Forest Thomer was flipping people off as they drove by Friday afternoon to express his freedom of speech and to garnish some attention for his Facebook page called "Art of a Mother Fucker." Highland Heights Police officer Dave Bruener showed up and shut him down. "You're being cited for harassment, that's what the people want," says Officer Bruener, as if 'the people's' wants out weigh the individual's rights.

No, The Police Don't Work for You
July 21, 2014

"The police are worthless. I don't know what we're paying them for."

That familiar, despairing lament was voiced by a friend here in Payette after his family had lost $20,000 worth of property a burglary. The crime was solved before the police intervened: Some of the pilfered property was still in possession of the suspects, who admitted that it didn't belong to them. Working on their own initiative, my friend and his adult daughter - the primary victim - tracked down more of the stolen goods at local yard sales and garage sales. A phone call to the Payette PD led to a visit by an officer who was courteous, professional, and who provided no practical help of any kind. He did arrest one suspect, a mentally deficient man who readily admitted to the officer that he had taken the property because an unspecified "they" had told him it was "all right" to do so.

Six Years Later, The Woman Who Thought Obama Would Pay For Her Gas And Mortgage Has Changed Her Tune
July 20, 2014

What do the President and the Wizard of Oz have in common?

As Washington Times reports, documentary filmmaker Joel Gilbert caught up with Joseph for his new film "There's No Place Like Utopia." And now, instead of giving him savior-like qualities, she's more apt to compare him to a movie character: the Wizard of Oz. "The little man behind the curtain, not who we thought or expected him to be." It's quite the harsh reality to face, but we all had to get there - good for you, Ms. Joseph, for seeing the President for what he really is!

Wow! Who Knew Bill Maher Disliked the Police State this Much? | The Free Thought Project
July 20, 2014

Regardless of your political views or affiliations, recognizing oppressive violence transcends party lines.

The militarization of police affects everyone. Liberals, conservatives, tea partiers, libertarians, socialists, and anarchists agree....the police state is here. With tens of thousands of SWAT raids a year, it is only a matter of time before it's your son, your daughter, your mother or your father, that is victimized by the leviathan that is Police State USA.

A 17-year-old girl, honor roll student, cheerleader and lifeguard, with no prior record whatsoever, has been hospitalized after a run-in with Clairton, PA police.

This sinister young woman who dared risk the disintegration of societal order by being outside after 10 p.m. was approached by the heroic Clairton police destined to protect the town from this dangerous villain.
