Welcome back, Folks!
Today is Patch Tuesday for April, 2026.
If your Windows 10 computer can not be upgraded to Windows 11 then you should either replace your device or use the Windows 10 ESU program to get another few months out of it.
Windows 11 25H2 is now available and Windows 11 23H2 and older are no longer supported. It’s safe to upgrade to Windows 11 25H2 now, but be prepared for the Start Menu to change. You will likely want to click the “View” drop-down and switch to List.
macOS 26 Tahoe is now available and macOS 13 Ventura and older are no longer supported. macOS 26 is now stable and you should upgrade to this version if your hardware supports it.
There were 1635+ major hacks, and over 450 application updates this month. There are about 7.0 GB of updates for most users. It’s the biggest month I think we’ve ever had and it’s not done yet – the OpenSSL project has released v4.0 of their library and nearly all software written today depends on it in one way or another, meaning that most software will receive an update to support the new version “soon.”
